So gather up your art supplies, put on some spooky music, and get ready to have a blast creating memorable Halloween crafts for kids to enjoy.
Craft supplies for Kids Keep on Hand
Even when making a simple Halloween craft, it’s important to have some essential materials on hand.
Of course, you need glue. White school glue is fine but I like to keep craft glue like tacky glue on hand because it just works better for crafts. I also prefer glue sticks for paper crafts.
A hot glue gun is a must for any crafty person, but kids could get burned, so if something needs to be hot glued, you may want to do it yourself.
I have a big stack of construction paper in all kinds of colors that has served me well throughout the years. I’ve given my kids scissors, paper, and stick glue with no instructions and they’ve come up with their own creations plenty of times.
To add some vibrant colors, markers are essential, and more coloring materials like colored pencils or crayons are also great to have.
Lastly, having a pack of white cardstock on hand is useful, especially when printing out Halloween-themed printables for crafts.
Other often used materials for Halloween crafts include googly eyes in all kinds of sizes, craft sticks, pipe cleaners, and beads. I always kept jars of various materials to keep on hand for an impromptu crafty morning if the kids woke up too early.
So, gather your art supplies and get ready for a spooktacular crafting adventure!
